Empaths have big, open, loving hearts. We care deeply about others and the world. There’s a special place in our hearts for animals and all of Mother Nature. We feel her; our emotions run deep, as does our intuition.
As an Intuitive Empath, I know firsthand the challenges sensitive people have. Being compassionate without giving up our power is a challenging balance. Carrying the suffering of others often leads to us trying to ‘fix them.’ (Here’s a meditation to help with that)
We play many roles, helpers, lovers and caregivers and often give away at our own expense, which can burn us out. I learned the hard way that I was leaking energy.
When we constantly give and hold all those trapped heavy emotions in our bodies, it can make us sick, weak and tired. We need to release and fill our own energy back up.
How do we fill our energy back up?
We must make a choice. We must learn to embrace all that we are and focus on positive energy to maintain our survival and well-being. We must fill our energy by focusing on our mind, body and Spirit.
Emurse in nature and let our vibration rise to match Mother Nature.
Play like a child with our creative fun side. Paint, dance, and sing, all like no one is watching.
Take care of our physical body. Eat whole plant-based foods, exercise and meditate to center and ground yourself regularly.
The trick is to do all of these as a ritual in your daily life, not just when depleted.
With time, you will learn to balance being an Intuitive Empath and fixing everyone else first.
Living happily as an Intuitive Empath means learning to love yourself as much as you do the world and all it holds. It means realizing how important your gifts are in this overthinking society. You are the light shining in the dark; strong, shining and pure.
